Established in 2022, the National Talent Academy for Film & TV Crew East (Crew Academy East) is an initiative of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, managed by Clermont Screen Hub.  The Academy is co-located at Clermont alongside Screen Wicklow and the Clermont Screen Hub.

Crew Academy East offers training for below-the-line crew, providing talented people a clear pathway to careers within the film and television industry.  The Academy focuses on attracting next generation talent with a strong diversity agenda.

Bray institute of Further Education offers a range of film-related courses including a QQI Level 5 Award in Film and Television Production.

The Institute of Art, Design and Technology is a short hop across the county boundary in Dún Laoghaire.  IADT offers a range of film related third-level  courses.

Screen Wicklow has a close working relationship with the Local Enterprise Office, and we actively encourage film and creative professionals to boost their business skills by attending some of the range of short courses on offer.  A number of film producers have completed the Start your Own Business course for example.  From time to time the LEO also runs film-industry specific business training.
